The Twine & Barrel menu has been carefully designed by our very talented Head Chef, Dan Graham. He is a highly experienced Chef who started his career 20+ years ago, at the 5 Star Slaley Hall Hotel, where he had the amazing opportunity of working alongside Albert Roux; who regularly made guest appearances. He then moved on to Langley Castle and Matfen Hall before Michel Roux Jr. offered him a position at Le Gavroche in London, where he spent almost 2 years developing his culinary skills under the watchful eye of the Roux family.
After gaining some overseas experience in luxury hotels and villas in France and Greece, Dan returned to Yorkshire to take over as Head Chef from James Martin at the Talbot Hotel in Malton.
Dan regularly demonstrates at York Food Festival and the Great Yorkshire Show and is a judge for Deliciouslyorkshire taste awards. He is also a former MasterChef Runner Up and was recently a finalist in the Kikkoman Masters 2019 Chefs competition at The Restaurant Show in London.
